About SLU HISCDR
The Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa Health Information System Clinical Data Repository
(SLU HISCDR) was established in the year 2024 together with our collaborators to address the
issue of the lack of a robust health information data repository for large-scale clinical
research in Nigeria. The SLU HISCDR is a secure, cloud-based platform designed to streamline
the storage, management, and analysis of clinical data across healthcare institutions in
Nigeria. Our mission is to improve healthcare outcomes by enabling healthcare providers,
researchers, and policy makers to access, analyze, and share critical medical data in real
time, while maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy. This work is fully
funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) under the National Research Grant
(NRF) Grant No. TETF/ES/DR&D/CE/NRF-2021/SETI/ICT/00112/VOL.1
